Supercontinents are massive landmasses made up of all the current continents. Throughout the history of earth, sometimes there was a supercontinent, and sometimes they are seperated.It goes back and forth between supercontinent and seperated continents. It takes about 250 million years for the continents to seperate! (or come together)The most recent supercontinent was Pangaea, and the on before that was Rodinia. I wonder what life would be like on a supercontinent!
a super continent is land mass from which continents formed: one of the large continental masses believed to have broken into several parts that drifted apart to form the present continents. There were more supercontinents than pangea some names of them are rodinia, gondwana, vaalbara, columbia. i think it would be really cool to live on a super continent because you wouldn't have to take a plane to get to Europe or Australia.
Supercontinents take about 250 milion years to form. A supercontinent is when all of the tectonic plates come together and form a giant landmass. There have been many of these in earth's history. The previous one was called pangaea. Living on one would be pretty chill...Yo.
It is going to be a few million years before another supercontinent forms. The most recent was Pangaea. Scientists believe India was seperated from Asia during Pangaea. Also, they believe that Europe and Asia were together. They called that Eurasia. Jacob Francy
